Rover is the latest addition to the OutWit family. Based on the most modern and reliable technologies, with a simpler interface, a more powerful & versatile scraping engine, and efficient multi-level explorations, Rover will become your most efficient tool for collecting data, following news, searching for a house or a job, comparing prices, etc.

After years of rewriting the application for all platforms, building on a decade’s worth of experience and user feedback, we are happy to introduce OutWit Rover for the most recent versions of Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Rover focuses on easy scraping. The features of our previous applications with a more powerful engine and a simpler interface: Extract lists, tables, posts, news, etc. with a single click. Easily create complex workflows: macros and jobs have now merged into a single Job engine. Complex directive syntax has been replaced with dropdown menus. Users can easily access and modify exploration settings, even as a process is running.
What’s coming: As with our previous applications, new updates will be released every month or two, and major releases annually. In 1.x versions, we will keep implementing advanced functions and directives into Rover, always drawing guidance and priorities from your feedback.
Then, in v1.6 to 2.0, we will progressively integrate a number of entry points in the application for you to plug in your favorite AI model(s), adding advanced recognition, analysis, and decision features during exploration and scraping. Some are already in place and being tested. If you want early access to these beta features, ask us for them.
The following step — not too far away — is autonomy: when you can unleash Rover and let it run wild in terra incognita to fetch what you need. We have tested it already, and it is impressive.
